Here is an overview of my past and current work, as well as my skills.

Experience

I have been a Media Relations intern at UCSB Athletics since December 2021.
I ran the instagram stories for the official UCSB Athletics account from January 2022 until June 2022.
I have run the official UCSB Athletics Tik Tok account since September 2022.
In this position I have learned sports media writing, film, many social media tactics, and insights on how athletic games are run.
I was promoted from intern to Head Social Media in May of 2023, in which I continue to fully run the Tik Tok account as well as manage a group of interns.

During the summer of 2023, I had the privledge to intern with the Santa Barbara Foresters Baseball Team.
In this role, I worked with a group to ensure that games and game events ran smoothly including in game events, PA, music, food and drinks, ticket sales, and merchandise.
I was also in charge of social for the Foresters, in which we did live instagram story updates as well as daily tik toks.

UCSB Athletics has given me a lot of freedom when it comes to my posts, and therefore I get a lot of hands on, direct experience on learning what works best on social media. This has taught me to take constructive criticism and make my posts better, think critically and creatively, and especially responsibility.
At UCSB Athletics, I have worked as both part of an internship team, and as a manager of an intern team. This has taught me how to collaborate well with others, and again how to take on more responsibilities when its needed. Managing other people has taught me how to be a good and fair leader, and how to allocate tasks effectively.
